Vietnam Reports 30 Percent Drop In Traffic Accidents
Vietnam recorded 37 serious traffic accidents across road, rail, and water routes as of 5:00 PM on April 30. The report indicates a positive trend in public order and safety compared to previous holiday periods. This information was provided by police authorities in Vietnam. Compared to the same period last year, accident incidents fell by over 4.7%, deaths decreased by 50%, and injuries dropped by more than 58%. Authorities processed over 13,000 violations, primarily focusing on common errors such as speeding. Vietnam recorded 177 traffic accidents resulting in 95 deaths and 114 injuries during a four-day holiday period. Traffic police attributed the reduction in incidents to increased inspections and testing. Hospitals reported no deaths or mass rescue operations during the holiday. The number of accidents also fell by 72 incidents year-over-year.

Vietnam Increases Fines For Adultery And Marriage Violations
Authorities fined three companies a total of 390 million Vietnamese dong for failing to maintain mandatory oil reserve levels. Selling unregulated tobacco products to individuals under 18 years of age can result in fines of up to 3 million dong. Decree 109 of 2026 will take effect on May 18, replacing Decree 82 of 2020.
