A video from a refinery in the Tuapse region of Krasnodar, Russia, shows the entire facility engulfed in flames. On Tuesday, authorities began evacuating residents living near the burning refinery. The number of personnel involved in the liquidation of fire consequences in Tuapse will be increased by 300 people on Wednesday. Local reports indicate oil is leaking into a nearby river, raising concerns of an ecological catastrophe. EMERCOM head Alexander Kurinkov stated that six municipalities in Kuban will provide assistance. Specialists are working to prevent oil from entering the Tuapse River. Local authorities reported collecting more than 4,000 cubic meters of residue, according to the State Information Agency TAS. Ukrainian forces have been targeting Russian export capacities to reduce war funding.
