Poland To Sign EU SAFE Credit Concession

Hydrological Drought Warnings Issued In Poland
The fire service has issued warnings regarding high drought risks across nearly all of Poland. Anna Gryczman, duty forecaster at the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management in Warsaw, stated that April saw very little rainfall, with precipitation occurring for less than two days in only parts of the country. Hydrologists report declining river water levels and are issuing further hydrological drought warnings. The fire service warned that even small energy stimuli could trigger serious fires during outdoor activities like picnics or forest excursions. Hydrological drought continues in the basins of the upper Noteć, Warta, Lizwarty, Rudawy, and Radomka rivers. The drought is currently limited to forests in Pomorskie, Warmia-Masuria, Podlaskie, and Podkarpackie. The threat level is described as medium.
