Brussels has called for the respect of freedom of navigation while activists continue their journey eastward. The Israeli Navy has called for the remaining vessels to withdraw and deliver humanitarian aid to Ashdod port for inspection, according to reports from Israel Defense Forces Radio. Israel's Navy intercepted a flotilla of more than 50 boats carrying aid to Gaza in international waters off the coast of Crete. The Israeli Foreign Ministry reported that approximately 170 activists were arrested during the operation. The flotilla includes approximately 1,000 activists from over 70 countries, including doctors and lawyers.
