Singapore Considers AI Updates To Legal System
Singapore plans to implement a new verification system at its Tuas checkpoint starting in early 2027, with subsequent expansion to Woodlands. The system will utilize photo booths for verification, allow middle-row occupants to choose a side for photos, and provide tablets for those in the back of larger vehicles. This technology is designed to cover cargo vehicles and motorcyclists. Prime Minister Lawrence Wong stated that Singapore's legal systems may require updates to accommodate advancements in artificial intelligence. He believes this will make AI-resilient sectors more attractive.
