Data used for AI inference has now exceeded 101.34 exabytes, marking a shift from previous trends where over 90% of data was dedicated to model training. This shift indicates that AI is now performing more active tasks than training. Analyst Zhang Xianghong stated that the surge in data is driven by an explosion in application scenarios. Large-scale urban applications, such as smart scheduling for public transport and city construction, are integrating GPS, passenger card data, and traffic congestion data. The value of data is attributed to its flow and usage rather than mere possession. China's gold demand reached 362 tons in Q1, a 1% increase over the previous quarter and above the five-year average. Liu Biao, a researcher at the Capital Finance Research Institute of China University of Political Science and Law, attributed the growth to an explosion in investment demand. Zhang Yufeng, chief market strategist at Zheshang Securities, advised investors to prioritize liquid products like gold ETFs.
