Ukraine Funds Backup Power for Kyiv High-Rises
Ukraine has implemented parliamentary reforms to unlock European Union financing. These legislative changes follow months of intensive work by the Ukrainian government. The reforms are intended to meet specific criteria required for the release of funds. EU officials noted that these efforts should be met with financial support from the European Foundation. This experimental project aims to prepare the city's housing stock for the upcoming winter. The initiative focuses on buildings exceeding nine stories where life-support systems depend on electricity. State budget funds will cover the costs of these installations.
