Swaminathan Named Indian Navy Chief, Next CDS Appointed
The government has appointed Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan as the Chief of Naval Staff. The Ministry of Defense stated that Vice Admiral Swaminathan is currently serving in the Western Naval Command. The Hindustan Times reported that Swaminathan has been named the Navy chief. The report also states that a new Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) has been appointed.
