Polish Cardinal Protests 1950 Order
Polish Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński issued a letter to Polish United Workers' Party First Secretary Bolesław Bierut protesting the 1950 decree regarding the subordination of the church to the state. The letter was announced on May 8 in Krakow during a conference of the episcopate.
