US Representatives Demand FIFA Cover World Cup Transit Costs
Democratic Congress members from New Jersey and New York have sent a letter to FIFA's president requesting financial assistance for World Cup transit costs. They are asking FIFA to contribute towards the estimated $48 million expense for moving fans to and from eight games in the Meadowlands. NJ Transit plans to charge $150 for round-trip train tickets and $80 for shuttle bus tickets.
