Social Equality Discussed Amidst Gender Role Shifts
Professor Katharina Wohlig of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW) reported that the modernization of attitudes toward gender roles is no longer progressing at the pace observed in previous decades. The findings were released in the 20th annual Manager Barometer in January. Wohlig stated that these conditions jeopardize economic success and prevent companies, particularly family-owned businesses, from seizing opportunities. The discussion touched upon societal shifts and gender equality, noting that women have changed and society has become more equal. The speakers expressed surprise at the nature of some individuals, referring to them as 'bad people' who are mixed together. It was recalled that in the past, a woman associated with too many criminals caused shock and confusion.
