Vietnam Unemployment Rates Show Mixed Trends
Vietnam reported 1.6 million unemployed people as of the end of the first quarter of 2026. The total number of unemployed individuals decreased by 5,500 compared to the previous quarter but increased by 21,800 compared to the same period last year. The youth unemployment rate stands at approximately 8.86%, representing a slight decrease from the previous quarter. Urban unemployment rose slightly to 2.46% compared to both the previous quarter and the same period last year.
