Sovcombank And MTS Money Join Ozon Discount Program
Ozon customers in May will be able to receive discounts when paying with Sovcombank and MTS Money cards. This follows a dispute between systemic banks and marketplaces regarding loyalty programs that began last year. Andrey Kostin, chairman of VTB, previously stated that banks would need to interact, cooperate, and compete with marketplaces. The program is expected to operate globally except in the US and Singapore. Oleg Abelev, head of the analytical department at investment company Recom Trust, stated the partnership aligns with the Central Bank's approach to encourage competition. The move allows various banks to voluntarily participate in providing cashback and discounts on marketplace purchases.
