China-Europe Rail Freight Hits Record Highs
Rail transport services from China to Europe completed more than 4,000 trips during the first quarter of 2021. This figure is considered a record high for the sector. The report noted that transport costs for these services are approximately $4,000 to $5,000. The increase in rail usage follows a shift in merchant preferences toward rail transport earlier in the year.
