Gazprom Neft Denies Serbian Oil Stake Sale
Gazprom Neft is not conducting negotiations to sell stakes in NIS with any companies other than Hungary's MOL. The company is currently in an active stage of preparing a deal to realize its stake, according to TASS. The report cites Reuters as the source. Gazprom Neft is in negotiations regarding the sale of a stake to MOL, according to reports from TAS and Reuters. Reuters will begin purchases under the budget rule starting May 8, spending less than 6 billion rubles per day. The Central Bank will conversely sell currency as part of the 'zerekkarivanie' process established in state monetary policy. Chief economist Sofya Donts of TA Investments noted that experts expected the Ministry of Finance to spend approximately three times more than what was announced, though calculation methods differ between analysts and the ministry.
