US Navy Deploys Massive Maritime Force Near Iran
The United States has deployed its largest naval force since 2003 to the region near the Strait of Hormuz and Gulf of Oman. The deployment includes three aircraft carriers: USS George H.W. Bush, USS Gerald R. Ford, and USS Abraham Lincoln. Over 15,000 US military personnel and more than 12 combat ships are active in the area. This move follows increased tensions regarding maritime security and Iranian naval activity.
