Russia Claims Downing Over 550 Ukrainian Drones
Russia's Defense Ministry stated that its forces shot down 56 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory. Russia's Ministry of Defense reported that 556 drones were intercepted and downed. Russia's military stated it shot down more than 500 drones overnight across various regions. This claim follows an increase in drone attacks since the start of Russia's invasion. President Zelensky called the drone attacks a escalation. The specific base and extent of damage were not immediately clear. A fire is ongoing at the Solnechnogorskaya oil loading station in the Moscow region.
