A magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred 111 km west-northwest of Türkmenbaşy at a depth of 10 km. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km and was located 111 km WNW of Türkmenbaşy. A 2.9 magnitude earthquake occurred at 10:38 local time with a depth of 2.1 kilometers. The USGS reports the epicenter was located approximately 15 miles from Detroit in Ontario, Canada. Residents in southeast Michigan, the Downriver area, and as far south as Toledo, Ohio, reported feeling the tremor. No damage or injuries were immediately reported from the seismic event.
