A political coalition crisis in Romania is threatening the approval of critical economic measures, potentially resulting in the loss of €16 billion in SAFE funds. The Concordia Employers' Confederation warned that Romania risks losing its country rating if current crises compromise budget deficit reductions. In a negative scenario, interest rates on state borrowing could increase by up to 10%, leading to lower revenues and overconsumption pressure. Lucian Acio-Cârlie Haranuguș of Concordia provided these warnings. This loss could equate to approximately 100 billion lei from the recovery and resilience plan.
