Antoni Macierewicz Faces Defamation Proceedings

The request was submitted in February by a regional prosecutor in Warsaw. Investigators are conducting preparatory proceedings regarding the public insult of the military counterintelligence service leadership. The formal request for the waiver was submitted by the regional prosecutor on February 17, 2026. Maria Anna Koźlakiewicz, a member of the Civic Coalition, presented the committee report on the matter. A Sejm commission has found sufficient evidence to suggest Antoni Macierewicz insulted public officials during a plenary session on September 11, 2025.
