Gabon is preparing its infrastructure to become an exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG) within two years. The Cap L'Opès oil terminal in Gabon is undergoing major expansion works to convert the facility into a gas terminal. The terminal was originally constructed by Total Gabon 69 years ago and is dedicated to exporting Gabonese crude oil to international markets. Project director Rita Yahyaoui is overseeing the transition to gas capabilities. The project aims to prepare the zone to receive LNG. Rita Yahyaoui, the project director, provided details regarding the project scope. The project includes new sections for processing, liquefaction, and storage. Project director Ritayayawi stated the site will accommodate gas treatment and arrival infrastructure.
