China Resolves 9,102 AI-Related IP Cases
Chinese People's Courts resolved 908 intellectual property cases involving AI-generated content and model parameters in 2025. Since 2021, 1,471 IP cases have seen punitive damages applied, with 505 cases in 2025 totaling 1.8 billion yuan in judgments. Chinese courts have adjudicated 9,102 cases involving intellectual property infringement, including 159 cases of commercial secret theft. Prosecutions included 159 cases of trade secret crimes specifically targeting high-tech sectors like chip manufacturing and new energy. He Zhonglin, Deputy President of the Intellectual Property Court of the Supreme People's Court, stated that the judiciary will implement measures to combat malicious litigation and power abuse. Tour Bus Overturns In Gansu Province
