Thai authorities have identified a transnational fraud network that exploited the national civil registration system. The group manufactured fraudulent citizenship by forging birth records, posing corruption risks.

A woman was arrested at a Thai airport for attempting to smuggle 30 turtles in bags hidden under her clothing. The suspect intended to board a flight to Taiwan before being intercepted. One turtle was found dead, while the remaining turtles were rescued.

A 35-year-old Myanmar national was found dead in the bed of a black pickup truck in Thailand. Seven other Myanmar workers were found injured at the scene. Local authorities identified the driver as a 55-year-old man. All victims were transported to Chularat 11 Hospital.
