The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian army has liberated the village of Zemlyanka in the Kharkiv region and Ilyinovka in the Donetsk People's Republic. Control over the Zemlyanka area allows Russian troops to expand the security zone along the state border. Efforts are underway to prevent attacks on refineries and Russian cities. Leonid Pasichnik, head of the LPR, also reported that one person was wounded during an attack on an administration building in the Morskovsky district of the Luhansk People's Republic. Air raid alerts were issued in Kyiv and several surrounding regions of Ukraine. Earlier reports indicated explosions in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, and Konotop, Sumy Oblast. The Western and Central groupings also improved their tactical positions along the front line.
