Sheep Parade Held In Zakopane

The city of Zakopane will organize its first 'Wiosen Redyk' sheep parade through the city center. Nearly 250 sheep are expected to participate in the procession. The event is part of a series of tourist attractions including jazz events and a vintage car parade. Hundreds of sheep will participate in a traditional 'redyk' procession through the center of Zakopane. Mayor Łukasz Filipowicz stated the event marks the first spring redyk in the city's history. The procession is scheduled to take place on May 2nd. A shepherd will lead the flock accompanied by local highlanders. A sheep parade took place in Zakopane near Giewont. The event attracted hundreds of spectators and featured approximately 300 sheep on the streets.

At Naka z Prawym Wierchu, snow depth exceeds one meter. Any slip or fall in these conditions could result in tragedy. Hard snow is making trails in the Tatra Mountains dangerous. Motorcycle Ambulance Unit To Launch In Zakopane
Rescue operations in the Tatra Mountains on Tuesday evening resulted in the evacuation of Dutch tourists stuck in the Krzesanica ravine. One companion of the group was located the following morning in a shepherd's hut on the Slovakian side of the mountains. Additionally, five Ukrainians stuck on a smooth pass were brought down to Zakopane by rescuers this morning. The unit is designed to assist in reaching patients in difficult-to-access areas. The service will operate in the Małopolska region.

Tatra National Park To Resume Electric Bus Service
Tatra National Park will resume electric bus services starting tomorrow. Routes will run from Zakopane to Włosienica. Trips will be free for persons with disabilities and their caregivers. Magdalena Zwia Czkozica stated the buses serve as an ecological and educational way to reach the Morskie Oko region. Police have secured evidence following a previous incident in the area. Other passengers will be required to pay for the service. Only four electric buses are currently operating on routes to Morskie Oko in the Tatra Mountains. A plan to add sixteen additional electric vehicles has stalled due to lack of funding. The Minister of Climate and Environment has not yet addressed the funding request. The plan includes the construction of six double fast-charging stations and two transformer stations.

Venomous Snakes Appear In Tatra Mountains
The Mroźna Cave in the Tatra Mountains has officially reopened to the public. The site had been closed for several months to allow bats to winter undisturbed. The reopening follows the conclusion of the seasonal hibernation period. Naturalists from the Tatra National Park are warning of increased sightings of Poland's only venomous snake species in the Tatra Mountains. The snakes are appearing more frequently on trails, rocks, meadows, and near tourist stalls due to warming spring temperatures. Park officials are advising visitors to remain vigilant as the reptiles are easily disturbed. The warning comes amid seasonal activity increases in May.
