State television has broadcast a new image of Su Chi appearing relaxed while speaking to police officers. This is the first image of her released since her arrest during the coup. The previous available image of her was a grainy photo from a May 2021 court hearing.

Pro-democracy leader Su Chi has been deported to prison following a period of house arrest. The regime's actions are viewed as attempts to seek international legitimacy.
