Spanish Guardia Civil seized 30 tonnes of cocaine from the cargo ship Arconian off Western Sahara. The drugs are valued at over €812 million, marking the largest single drug bust in history. All 23 crew members were arrested.

The institute Western Sahara Resource Watch has published its annual report detailing companies involved in exporting resources from Western Sahara. The report, titled 'P for Pillaging,' highlights firms engaged in the extraction and export of phosphate products. This information was highlighted in relation to working conditions at OCP. These reserves represent a substantial portion of global supply, with 70% located in these territories. Economic, technological, and military factors between these countries and Europe prevent them from fully dictating prices.
