Debian OS Developed by Global Volunteers
The Debian operating system, a free project supported by numerous volunteers, runs on computers and servers used by companies, researchers, governments, and individuals. Andreas Tille, a 59-year-old physicist working at the Robert Koch Institute, is one of the volunteers contributing to the Debian project from Wernigerode. The Debian operating system is developed by over 1000 volunteers worldwide who contribute their work without pay. Andreas Tille leads the project and has attended annual meetings in various global locations, including Bres, Bangkok, Busan, and Kochi. Tille has connections with people across the globe through his involvement.
