Hospital Evacuated In Włocławek Due To Smoke
Firefighters are searching the rubble of a collapsed tenement building on Zduńska Street in Włocławek. Firefighters and a specialized chemical group were dispatched to the scene to investigate potential air pollution. Paweł Plagowski of the Fire Service stated that nearby households are not currently at risk, though residents are advised to keep windows closed. The incident occurred at a site involving a recycling company that processes plastic waste. Sixteen newborns were moved from the pediatric ward at the Matka Polka Health Center in Włocławek following smoke in the building. A reporter for Radio Z, Mateusz Skudlarek, reported that the smoke originated from a fire in a technical ventilation unit located in the basement. Patients were transferred to other areas within the building. No injuries were reported in the initial findings.
