Roadwork has commenced on the cantonal road intended to connect Villers, Ablataine, and Dessilafin, with a target completion date of 2029. Construction also began on a temporary cable car to connect Villers and Weissneried. These projects aim to restore accessibility to the valley following a landslide on May 28 of the previous year. The municipality stated the results of the project contribute to the protection of health for participants.

Sylvain Dumoulin, head of the Valais mobility service, announced the construction of a new cable car to connect Viller to Weissenried. The project is scheduled to begin construction this winter. The new link is intended to allow local residents to return home during the winter months. Without this solution, residents would have to leave Valais again during the winter months.
