Wu Mingzhu has dedicated over fifty years to agricultural technology work in the Turpan Basin, Xinjiang. Xinjiang has developed a complete innovation system for melon breeding, utilizing advanced techniques such as conventional breeding, multi-parental crossbreeding, and radiation breeding. This system incorporates traditional methods alongside advanced techniques such as radiation and biotechnology breeding.
