Valery Gergiev is conducting the third 'Festival of Musical Offerings' today at 17:00 at the Griboyedov Drama Theater in Smolensk. The festival is held in the Smolensk region, which is the birthplace of composer S. M. Markina. His opera 'A Life for the Tsar' will be featured.

The 10th anniversary of the Eurasia Doc international documentary film festival will take place in Smolensk at the end of September. Following the Smolensk event, activities and screenings will move to Minsk. The festival is organized by the Eurasian Center for Cultural Initiatives and the Belarusian Union of Journalists. Applications for the competition are open until July 10. The contest accepts documentary films regarding the lives of people in Eurasia and other global regions.

Fifteen medical institutions in the Smolensk region are providing rehabilitation services for participants of the Special Military Operation. Participants are reportedly accessing these services at their local medical institutions.

Vasily Anokhin, the administrator of the Smolensk region, said the importance of comprehensive support for soldiers returning from the special military operation zone. Anokhin stated that every returning participant should feel care and attention from society. He noted that access to high-quality medical care is paramount for successful adaptation.
