Authorities in Jilin Province are enforcing regulations regarding the size of burial plots and monuments. Authorities are investigating the conversion of four plots of basic farmland into cemetery land in the Changgen Ecological Park. Three villagers reported that two of their plots, totaling approximately 4.4 mu, were used for cemetery construction despite being registered as farmland. Local records confirm the area was designated for farming prior to the construction.
