Nine people in Quang Tri province were hospitalized after consuming fried cicadas, presenting symptoms including abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, and red rashes. The affected individuals were taken to Quang Tri Province for treatment.

Quang Tri provincial authorities announced plans to construct a museum and exhibition space at the Hien Luong Ben Hai historical site in northeastern Vietnam. The project includes a two-story museum, outdoor exhibition areas, a greenery park, and an art space. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026 with a projected completion date by the end of 2030. Officials expect the facility to serve as a major cultural and tourism for the region. The Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee approved a plan to build a War Memory and Peace Aspiration Museum. The project has a total investment of approximately 1 trillion VND sourced from the national target program for cultural development 2020-2035. The facility will be constructed on more than 10 hectares in the northeast area of the Xong Hinh Luan junction, Ben Hai, Quang Tri.
