Archaeologists Find 3,000 Ancient Coins
Archaeologists have unearthed a unique papyrus fragment at the Oxyrhynchus site in Egypt. Unlike previous finds that contained only magical or ritual formulas, this fragment appears to have been used as a practical tool during the embalming process. This discovery provides new insights into the everyday administrative or functional uses of papyrus in ancient Egyptian funerary rites. The discovery followed the initial finding of 50 coins. Authorities are currently guarding the location where the coins were found.
