A UN management team confirmed at least one killing during a visit to Nove Basan.

A UN mission verified video footage from Russian and Ukrainian drones confirming the killing of at least seven Russian prisoners of war. One video depicts an attempt to bury a seventh victim who was missing part of his head. This follows a similar report issued in 2024. The report notes that a similar report from 2024 did not involve such deaths and had previously noted improvements in the conditions of Russian prisoner detention and active responses from Ukrainian partners. Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated that incidents involving the execution of seven Russian prisoners will be investigated. The Office of the Prosecutor General is involved in the matter. These cases were reported to the UN Human Rights Office. Moscow has focused on denying and silencing the issue, according to the report.
