A villager named Zhang Yanjun reported sighting an Amur leopard while driving in the Laoshan State Forest Bureau area. The leopard was described as being approximately one meter long and moving two to three meters at a time near the vehicle. Zhang Yanjun immediately contacted the Laoshan State Forest Bureau rangers following the encounter. The sighting occurred on a road within the protected forest region. The observer immediately contacted the Laoshan National Park Administration after the encounter.
