Mauritania Water Project Increases Daily Supply
The French metropolis of Montpellier is participating in a program to rehabilitate the drinking water supply system in Kifa, located in southern Mauritania. Roman Regular, head of the Territory and Enterprise Division at the AFD, confirmed the funding structure during the Euro-African Biennale in Montpellier. The French Development Agency is funding a water infrastructure project in Kifa, Mauritania. Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole Vice-President Clark Hart announced the deployment of technicians and engineers to the region. The initiative aims to increase water supply by more than 3,000 cubic meters per day. The project focuses on international solidarity and technical expertise sharing. The project is designed to benefit local territorial communities in Mauritania. This cooperation is intended to enhance the international influence of French local authorities.
