Vice Premier Zhang Guoqing stated that organizations associated with large families have been involved with drugs. He announced that regular meetings are being held in South Kang City and districts to inspect and search for illegal substances.

Authorities in Southern Kang City have ordered the closure of rooms for inspection and searches for poison. This is the fifth such inspection in the district due to concerns about poison.
