A fundraising food event, first held 36 years ago in 1990 with 24 restaurants, is scheduled for July 11 this year at the Grand Hyatt with over 50 participating restaurants. All proceeds will support children and families in need. Famous chefs are volunteering their time for the event, where children will be present and raffle tickets will be sold. Participants volunteer their time and ingredients, with all donated money going to help children and families in need. Parents are sharing their psychological journey of caring for their children, and a media reception was held in April where children cooked with chefs.

Hong Kong Hospital Authority Adds 11 New Drugs To List
Secretary for Health and Medical Services, Lo Chung-mau, stated there are no current plans to tighten Hospital Authority ordinance arrangements regarding fees, despite ongoing communication with the Legislative Council. Public housing units will be allocated to residents of Wong Yan Kwok, Wong Sun Kwok, and Wong Tai Kwok on May 2nd. On May 2, residents of Huangren Kingdom, Huangxin Kingdom, and Huangtai Kingdom will be arranged to move into public housing units. Hong Kong is optimizing its medical fee waiver mechanism, which is expected to greatly increase beneficiaries and strengthen protection for poor, urgent, severe, and weak patients. Public housing units are allocated to Huang Renguo, Huang Xinguo, and Huang Taiguo residents on May 2, to Huang Jianguo and Huang Xiangguo residents from May 24-26, and to Huang Daoguo and Huang Chengguo residents from May 27-29.

Lawmakers in Hong Kong have expressed concern that the current healthcare fee reform, including increases and contract methods, was not consulted with the Legislative Council, preventing them from vetoing existing increases. Hong Kong District Councillor Liu Xiaofang stated the review group's work is feasible, with Liu Fuguo adding that technology, including custody/support checks, is being used to prevent fraud. Lu Fuguo stated that departments operate according to guidelines to prevent mechanical thinking, and technology is currently used for random checks to prevent fraud.
