Vehicle Fire On Overpass In Hohhot Extinguished
A vehicle caught fire on the Bayan Viaduct in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, during the evening rush hour on April 21. The Hohhot Public Security Bureau Traffic Management Branch handled the emergency response. Police in Hohhot's Huimin District responded to a vehicle fire that threatened to spread to nearby cars. The onboard extinguisher capacity was limited and quickly exhausted before the fire was fully controlled. An officer from the Huanhejie Police Station used a police vehicle's fire extinguisher to attempt to suppress the flames. Firefighters and additional police reinforcements arrived at the scene after the flames were suppressed using water from a street sprayer. The source noted the rapid containment was due to the efficient coordination between the parties involved. The fire originated from a motor vehicle's engine compartment and spread rapidly.
