German Airports Face Potential 10% Capacity Drop
The municipalities of Habke, with approximately 3,000 residents, and Helmstedt, with 28,000 residents, have jointly founded a planning association. This collaboration is as it crosses state borders, which is described as a exception within Germany. Karl Ferdinand Otto, responsible for the Labwaldsee in the city, is involved. Herr Beisel, Director General of the German Airports Association, indicates that the crisis is expected to continue for several months. He does not anticipate a return to normality in the coming months. There is particular concern that low-cost flights and those serving less tourist destinations might be canceled.
