Two people died following a collision between two passenger cars on National Road 58 between Mikołajki and Giżycko. The vehicles caught fire during the accident. Police officers rescued a female passenger from one of the vehicles. Traffic on the route was temporarily halted. Both drivers were killed in the crash. Shots were fired from behind Paweł Żuchowski during the incident. Four boys aged 16 to 18 died after their vehicle struck a tree on a departmental road in the Marne department. The 17-year-old driver held a valid license at the time of the crash.
