The social assistance rate in the Swiss canton of Graubünden has decreased to 1 percent. This figure is significantly lower than the national average of 2.9 percent.

A new translation tool has been released that is capable of translating all five Romansh dialects, including Sursilvan and Vallader. Previously, translation capabilities were limited to the more widely understood Rumantsch Grischun. The Bündner Sprachverein expressed importance for the tool regarding the preservation of local village languages. The breakthrough was noted by the organization Lia Rumantscha. The project required gathering diverse data sources because most existing texts were not in the specific dialects.
