Four active trade unions within the Bogdanka mining company have planned actions for the May Day holiday. Union chairman Jarosław Niemiec stated that coal extraction will be suspended during this period.

The Bogdanka mine management stated they remain ready to negotiate with labor unions. The company noted that negotiations must be based on the current operational realities of the mine. Coal volumes fell approximately 30% in 2025 and are expected to drop by about 15% in 2026.
