The Lumen European Solar Challenge 2026 is scheduled to take place in September. The event features the Solis Hyperion, a vehicle that is 100% electric and powered solely by solar energy. The car was recently showcased at an educational fair in Bistrita.

One person died following a workplace accident in Bistrita county, according to Iulia Stegerean, chief inspector of the territorial labor inspectorate. Nearly one-quarter of recent workplace accidents in the county occurred on construction sites. Authorities have verified and approved 115 investigation files, including three involving economic entities operating in the sector. Additionally, 46 people were reported injured with temporary incapacity for work.
