Aveiro Municipality Plans Summer Boat Access
Aveiro municipality plans to launch boat services across the Ria da Aveiro starting in July to combat summer traffic congestion at Costa Nova and Barra beaches. The Aveiro municipality is advancing measures to provide maritime transport for visitors during the upcoming summer season. One plan involves using boats to cross the Ria de Aveiro to reach certain beaches. The local government is currently in discussions with two operators to implement this maritime transport service. The municipality will provide the boat connections to facilitate access. The President of the Ilhavo Municipality announced plans to manage summer beach access for the Barra, Costa Nova, and Vizela areas. These beaches serve as primary coastal access for residents from the Aveiro and Saliceto regions, as well as visitors from interior territories like Salamanca.

Aveiro Hosts National Science Competitions
The University of Aveiro will host national science competitions from April 28 to 30. The event includes competitions in mathematics, science, and languages. Approximately 14,000 students from various educational levels are expected to participate. The organization is led by the University of Aveiro.
