Soviet Tram 'Amerikanka' Based On American Design
Soviet engineers developed the LM33 tram, known as 'Amerikanka', based on American blueprints for a 4-axle tram by PeterVit. These trams, featuring pneumatic tires, were produced domestically and served on Leningrad routes until 1979.
