Utrecht University Medical Center to Pilot Walk-in Scanner
The UMC Utrecht will pilot a walk-in 'emery scanner' starting in 2030, a technology that allows for detailed imaging of soft tissues within the body. This innovation aims to provide views of internal bodily functions, such as knee joint mechanics and stomach emptying rates. The project is currently in the design and financial planning phase, with plans to be presented to the board this summer.
