Russia Develops Composite Wing Technology For Aircraft

Radio Zvezda Moscow 17d14d Impact 5
Mikhail Kovalchuk, president of the Kurchatov Institute, stated that Russia is one of only four nations capable of developing turbojet engines from start to finish. He emphasized that Russia has preserved its Soviet-era technical base while advancing to new levels of technological independence. This claim positions Russia as a major player in aerospace engineering alongside the US and France. The engines were previously tested on a flying laboratory. This flight occurred approximately three weeks after the initial test flight involving two PD-8 engines. The development is part of the MS-21 aircraft program.
